Confirmed: Chelsea team news vs Tottenham with two more players out injured

Mauricio Pochettino has just spoken to the media ahead of Chelsea’s match against Tottenham tomorrow night in the Premier League.

The big question on everyone’s lips before this game was whether the likes of Levi Colwill, Reece James, Raheem Sterling, or Christopher Nkunku will be back and in contention to play after all four have been spotted in full Chelsea training this week.

Colwill and James in particular have been huge misses for Chelsea, and it has been encouraging to see them both return to training this week. Chelsea have obviously really missed their club captain after he was out with another injury and then had surgery on it.

Pochettino has been delivering the team news this afternoon and was asked about injuries and availability after Chelsea released their latest injury list.

All the above players have still been on the list today., and Axel Disasi also joins it.

And as well as that, Pochettino has confirmed that none of these injured players back in training will be available for Spurs tomorrow night in a massive blow. Chelsea now have 14 players injured, it’s madness!

Pochettino has just said: “We cannot recover any players in the last weeks. We only add two players more: Thiago and Disasi. They will not be available.”

Bad news ahead of the game, and it looks like Pochettino will have to once again call on academy players to sit the bench and some might even need to start at this rate. It’s an unprecedented amount of injuries to face and has just become the norm for Chelsea and Pochettino this season.

Hopefully though, with the aforementioned players all back in training, at least in some part, then they might make the next game against West Ham on Sunday, or one of the other games we have left.
