AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez is reportedly on the radar of Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old has impressed with his performances in the Italian league since joining Milan, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham. The report via Fichajes claims that the player is ‘in the sights’ of a number of Premier League clubs.

The London club have been using Ivan Perisic as the left-sided wingback this season, and while the Croatian has done reasonably well, he is in his twilight years, and Spurs must look to bring in a more long-term solution.

The north London club have Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies at their disposal. While Sessesgnon has been largely inconsistent, Davies is quite mediocre going forward.

The Londoners must look to bring in a full-back who has a more balanced skill set and Theo Hernandez would certainly be an upgrade on all three players at the club.

The French international is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the Italian league and he has the potential to succeed in the Premier League as well. He managed to impress in the recently concluded World Cup and help this country reach the final.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can agree on a fee with the Rossoneri in the coming months.

They are not the only English club chasing the 25-year-old Frenchman and will have to face competition from clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea.

The two Premier League clubs certainly have more resources compared to Tottenham and it will be interesting to see how the north London club convince the player to join them and snub his other suitors.
